Overview

You are invited to have your say on the SDA application for a material change of use for Extractive Industry (including extension to existing operations, rail siding and conveyor infrastructure), High Impact Industry (ancillary concrete batching plant) and the land use aspects of Environmentally Relevant Activities (ERAs) 16 Threshold 2(c) and ERA 16 Threshold 3(c) in the Bromelton State Development Area (SDA).

The proposed development comprises:

  • the progressive extension of the existing operation towards the east and south-east. The extension includes an increase in extraction and screening volumes that are proposed to exceed 1,000,000 tonnes of material per annum (subject to separate approvals), duplication of a rail siding, a conveyor and, an increase to the annual extraction volumes transported by road and rail, and
  • the establishment of a concrete batching plant.  

The subject land is located in the Rural Enterprise Precinct of the Bromelton SDA on Sandy Creek Road, Bromelton. The subject lots are Lot 2 on SP132357, Lot 1 on RP177490, Lot 2 on RP177490, Lot 65 on W311348 and part of Lot 281 on SP130095.

A submission must meet the following criteria:

  • be made to the Coordinator-General in writing or electronically
  • be received on or before the last day of the consultation period
  • be signed by each person who made the submission
  • state the name and address of each person who made the submission
  • state the grounds of the submission and the facts and circumstances relied on in support of the grounds.

Note: Any submission received may be made publicly available and provided to the proponent on request.
