Overview

You are invited to have your say on the SDA application for a material change of use for Intensive Animal Industry (poultry farm), Dwelling House and Caretakers Accommodation in the Bromelton State Development Area (SDA).

The proposed poultry farm comprises the construction of 10 sheds for accommodating a total capacity of 442,000 birds and two dams to be an integral part of the supply water for the farm. A new dwelling house is proposed to accommodate the proponent, with the existing dwelling on the site to be relocated and converted to a caretakers accommodation for a worker to be employed on the proposed farm.

The subject land is located in the Transition and Rural Uses Precincts of the Bromelton SDA, approximately eight kilometres north-west of the commercial centre of Beaudesert and is described as 75 Tilley Road and 2215 Beaudesert-Boonah Road, Bromelton.  The subject lots are Lot 50 on SP179833 (127.2ha), Lot 7 on RP32768 (302.3ha) and Lot 41 on WD3423 (121.5ha).

A submission must meet the following criteria:

  • be made to the Coordinator-General in writing or electronically
  • be received on or before the last day of the consultation period
  • be signed by each person who made the submission
  • state the name and address of each person who made the submission
  • state the grounds of the submission and the facts and circumstances relied on in support of the grounds.

Note: Any submission received may be made publicly available and provided to the proponent on request.
