Why We Are Consulting

Development of the PDA will seek to reinforce Toondah Harbour as a community focus and a regional gateway to Moreton Bay and North Stradbroke Island. Development will include opportunities for mixed use and medium density residential development as well as dedicated ferry terminals, open space and the potential for a private berth marina.

The Toondah Harbour PDA is located on the southern shores of Moreton Bay in Cleveland, approximately one kilometre east of the Cleveland CBD. The PDA covers landholdings located at Middle Street, Cleveland, and covers a total area of approximately 67 hectares, including 17.5 hectares over land and 49.5 hectares within Moreton Bay.

What Happens Next

Once the submission period has ended on 24 February 2014, the MEDQ in partnership with Redland City Council will consider all submissions received and determine what amendments, if any may be necessary to make to the proposed development scheme.

A submissions report will be prepared which summarises the submissions considered and the extent to which the proposed development scheme was amended to reflect the submissions.  Once the development scheme is finalised you will be notified and will receive information on where you can view the submissions report and adopted development scheme.
