Why your views matter

Development of the PDA will seek to reinforce Weinam Creek as a community focus and a regional gateway to the Southern Moreton Bay Islands including Macleay, Lamb, Karragarra and Russell islands. Development will include opportunities for mixed use and medium density residential development.

The Weinam Creek PDA is located in Redland Bay and incorporates commercial ferry and recreational boating facilities as well as residential development and open space areas. The total area of the PDA is approximately 42 hectares and includes approximately 36 hectares over land and six hectares over water.

What happens next

Once the submission period has ended on 24 February 2014, the MEDQ in partnership with Redland City Council will consider all submissions received and determine what amendments, if any may be necessary to make to the proposed development scheme.

A submissions report will be prepared which summarises the submissions considered and the extent to which the proposed development scheme was amended to reflect the submissions.  Once the development scheme is finalised you will be notified and will receive information on where you can view the submissions report and adopted development scheme.
