Hummock Hill Island Development project - application for project change
Overview
Queensland's Coordinator-General invites you to have your say on an application for project change for the Hummock Hill Island Development project
The Coordinator-General's evaluation report approving the project was published in February 2011
Eaton Place Pty Ltd has applied to the Coordinator-General for a change to the project, which involves:
- reduction in the total master plan area from 518ha to 465ha, including a reduction in the development footprint from 341ha to 307ha, and a reduction to open space, golf course and parkland from 177ha to 158ha
- provision of buffer areas and reduction in disturbance to native vegetation
- retention of approximately 50 per cent of trees throughout the development
- relocation of the golf course
- the desalination plant to be permanently located within the proposed development (previously proposed temporary)
- removal of the waste transfer station and the boat ramp at Colosseum inlet
- inclusion of an Ecological Design Centre and a native plant nursery.
The Coordinator-General will consider all properly made submissions before preparing a change report either approving or refusing the change.

There are a number of different ways to provide comments on this application for project change. You only need to provide comments using one of these methods. Replicated responses received through different methods will only be counted as one submission.

What happens next
The Coordinator-General will consider all properly made submissions, the draft EIS and revised draft EIS before preparing a final evaluation report either refusing or approving the project.
