Overview

Queensland's Coordinator-General invites you to have your say on the revised draft environmental impact statement (EIS) for the Inland Rail – Border to Gowrie (B2G) project.

Prepared by Inland Rail Pty Ltd as agent for the Australian Rail Track Corporation Limited, the revised draft EIS describes the project and its potential environmental impacts, both positive and negative. The revised draft EIS was prepared in accordance with terms of reference approved by the Coordinator-General.

The Coordinator-General seeks your views on the revised draft EIS, including the effectiveness of the strategies proposed to manage the project's environmental impacts.  

The Coordinator-General will consider all properly made submissions and the revised draft EIS provided by the proponent, before preparing a final evaluation report on the project.

How to have your say

  1. Read the revised draft EIS online at www.statedevelopment.qld.gov.au/inlandrail-b2g.

    A printed copy will be available for viewing at Inland Rail Pty Ltd's Toowoomba Office, located at 143-145 Margaret Street, Toowoomba and at Inland Rail Pty Ltd's Goondiwindi Office, located at 28 Marshall Street, Goondiwindi.

    An electronic copy of the revised draft EIS will be available at the following locations between 10 May 2025 and 7 July 2025, during business hours:

A submission must meet the following criteria:

  • be made to the Coordinator-General in writing or electronically
  • be received on or before the last day of the submission period
  • be signed by each person who made the submission (or submitted online or by email)
  • state the name and address of each person who made the submission
  • state the grounds of the submission and the facts and circumstances relied on in support of the grounds.

Note: Any submission received may be provided to the proponent on request.
