Underground Bus and Train project - Environmental impact statement
Overview
Queensland's Coordinator-General invites you to have your say on the environmental impact statement (EIS) for the Underground Bus and Train project, also known as the Bus and Train project.
Prepared by the project proponent, the Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads, the EIS describes the project and its potential environmental impacts, both positive and negative. The EIS was prepared in accordance with terms of reference approved by the Coordinator-General.
The Coordinator-General seeks your views on the EIS, including the effectiveness of the strategies the Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads proposes to manage the project's environmental impacts.
The Coordinator-General will consider all properly made submissions and the EIS provided by the proponent, before preparing a final evaluation report either approving or refusing the project.

- 3 new underground combined bus and rail stations at George Street and Roma Street in the Brisbane CBD, and at Woolloongabba
- upgrades to the Dutton Park Rail Station
- rail track and busway integration at Dutton Park and Spring Hill
- a new pedestrian and cyclist bridge to the north of Annerley Road Bridge
- a new busway bridge over the Exhibition Line and Inner City Bypass (ICB) connecting to the Northern Busway and Gilchrist Avenue, Herston
- an on-ramp connecting the Northern Busway and ICB westbound.
Construction is planned to commence in 2015 and operations planned for 2021.
