Overview

Advanced manufacturing is a priority sector for development under the Advance Queensland initiative. The Queensland Government is committed to ensuring that the state's manufacturing sector continues to remain globally competitive and innovative, and has the agility to respond to emerging opportunities across global value chains. Assisting the industry to transition from broad-based, traditional manufacturing into niche advanced manufacturing markets is how we will create the jobs of the future, including high-value, highly-skilled jobs.

The Queensland Advanced Manufacturing 10-Year Roadmap discussion paper forms the basis for consultation with industry, government and other stakeholders across Queensland. Consultation feedback will enable the development of a roadmap and action plan that will foster the growth of the advanced manufacturing sector.

The final Queensland Advanced Manufacturing 10-Year Roadmap and Action Plan will be released mid-2016.
