SDA application for a material change of use in the Abbot Point State Development Area

Overview

You are invited to have your say on the SDA application for a material change of use for a high impact industry in the Abbot Point State Development Area (SDA).

The SDA application seeks approval for a rocket assembly and launching facility, referred to as the Bowen Orbital Spaceport.

The project site traverses land formally described as Lots 8, 9 and 10 on SP295408, which are within the Environmental Management/Materials Transportation, Infrastructure and Corridors, Industry and Restricted Development Precincts of the Abbot Point SDA. The project footprint itself is sited on land within the Industry and Infrastructure and Corridors Precincts, to the east of Abbot Point Road, Abbot Point.

How to make a submission

You can make a submission using one of the following methods:

A submission must meet the following criteria:

• be made to the Coordinator-General in writing or electronically
• be received on or before the last day of the consultation period
• be signed by each person who made the submission
• state the name and address of each person who made the submission
• state the grounds of the submission and the facts and circumstances relied on in support of the grounds.

Note: Any submission received may be made publicly available and provided to the proponent on request.
